No News is Good News

It's been pretty quiet on the news front today. Gord is to have another CAT scan today and we will of course post something when we hear about the results.
Colby, Sheila's son, sent out close to 200 emails last night (using Gord and Sheila's email address book) in an attempt to ensure that everyone is aware of what has been going on and also that everyone has the link to this blog for updates. To all of those who replied to that email we will be sure to pass on all of your love and support. To those who have requested an address to send flowers, we will determine the best place to send them and let you know as soon as possible. Sheila has been spending much of her days and all of her nights at the hospital with Gord and flowers are not permitted in the ICU.

Thank you as well to everyone who has posted comments on this blog. I know I can speak for Sheila when I say that your positive energy means the world to her.

  1. Hi Laurie,

this is a short note from Bevin and Pam Bart from Calgary. We first met Gord and Sheila 3 yrs ago when by luck we stayed at kealia resort. We have never stopped going back. We are scheduled to leave this Saturday! Part of the reason was the genuine good feelings we got from both of them.

Life is funny and tragic. One minute in the begininng of January (-30 C) we were talking about having drinks on the beach with Gord (strong rum varieties)and celebrating Sheila's 39th B-day and the next minute we got a phone call from Ken and Su about the events of the 5th.

One thing I know is that fellow by the name of Gord Bosch is not a quitter and he will fight and fight. The road will not always be smooth but he will succeed as much as he can. He always has.

I will miss him on Saturday when we arrive and the great hug that both him and Sheila gave us. And the extra dosing of water I would get on the outrigger if he thought I was slacking!

    mahalo
