We have moved to a new room

The big news today is that Gord has moved to Room 204 in the same Yellow Pod. It is a HUGE room with 2 windows, it's own bathroom, a large sitting area.... and a great view.....just could not get better!
I don't have much to say today except that all of Gord's sessions have been increased in time spent so that's a good sign that he is able to take in lots more rehabilitation. Just last night I was researching all about Aphasia and it was overwhelming to realize the extent of this affliction. It truly is going to be a long haul. I have not been willing to accept that fact until now. The move home will be gradual and certainly not in the very near future. I imagine we will go to Halvar Jonson eventually and spend some time there. It is good for me to learn how to help Gord as well.
Take care everyone
Much Love
Sheila

  1. Hi Gord and Sheila,
Every day I start the morning with a cup of tea while I read the blog. We are so pleased to hear about your recovery Gord. Your physical and emotional strength give you an advantage. We are waiting to hear back from my Dr to see if we can stay a bit longer. Our return is planned for March 24th. Take good care. More soon, Arlene and Bryan

  3. Gar was so happy when he returned from Calgary. He seen so much improvement in Gord both in his speech and his ability to get around. Vonnie and Richard challenged Gord and Gar to a game of crib, when they both weren't looking he moved their pegs back. It great to see Gord can still cheat, count and peg!!!In the end Gord and Gar won. Surprise!! I know Gar loves to go see Gord. The three Bosch boys share the same great sense of humor and when the rest of us are taking the world so seriously they can still maintain their happiness. The timing was great for moving rooms and it freed Shiela up from yet another move when Richard and Gar could take everything over. We thank Vonnie and Rich for their great hospitality towards Gar when he comes to visit and we are so grateful for the endless time they take out of their busy lives to spend with Gord. Gar also enjoyed a visit with Sheila and a brief visit with Stacey, Daniel, Mauraine and Gail.Keep working hard Gord, I know the nurses enjoy your spirit and your enthusiasm.
